Anthony "Tony" Rehan

Tony Rehan, beloved husband, father, son, and entrepreneur, passed away on January 14, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 58. He was born on April 24, 1966, in Sioux City, Iowa, and spent his early years in Salix, Iowa.


Tony’s journey took him from the small town of Salix to Paris, Texas, where he attended Paris Junior College to pursue his dream of becoming a jeweler. His talent and entrepreneurial spirit led him to Des Moines, where he opened Park Fair Jewelers in 1991. Tony’s store became a beloved fixture in the community, known for his craftsmanship and dedication to his customers.


Tony was a devoted family man, married to his loving wife, Kim Rehan, for 35 wonderful years. Together, they raised three daughters: Eva Rehan, Darrian Woiwood, and Logan Rehan, who were the light of his life. Tony also cherished his two sons-in-law, Dylan Petersen and Cody Woiwood, whom he welcomed into the family with open arms.


Tony was passionate about spending time with his family and cherished their camping trips, creating lasting memories with his loved ones in the great outdoors. An avid movie enthusiast, Tony found comfort in classic films, with It’s a Wonderful Life being his favorite. He was also a fan of the Marvel series and had a deep appreciation for classic cars.


Tony’s sense of humor, kindness, and love for those around him will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of his surviving family members.


He is survived by his wife, Kim Rehan; daughters Eva Rehan, Darrian Woiwood, and Logan Rehan; sons-in-law Dylan Petersen and Cody Woiwood; his mother, Penny Meier; and his sisters, Debi Taylor and Mary Rager. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Larry Rehan; his brother, Todd Gilmer; and his sister, Robyn Brannan Smout.


A celebration of life will be held in Tony's honor at Sunset Memorial Chapel (7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA 50321) on Monday, January 20th at 1PM.  Following the celebration, a luncheon will be held for family and friends to gather and share memories.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
