Betty Kathleen Hill passed away on February 19th, 2025, at age 97. She was born on January 31, 1928, in Lovilla, IA. She had a happy childhood with her parents, Amos and Ethel Hutchison and many siblings.
After her high school graduation, she traveled to California to see her brother, Paul. While there she met her husband, Richard Wayne Hill. They married in 1949. Shortly thereafter, they welcomed Richard Allan Hill and Kenneth Hill. Betty was a devoted and loving wife. She and Richard had a long and happy marriage of 68 years!
Betty enjoyed reading, watching TV and sitting in the sunroom. She was a wonderful baker and would make lots of delicious concoctions. Betty enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, cousins, her husband and her two sons.
Betty is survived by her daughter-in-law Mary Lou Hill, grandchildren Tracy Fitzgibbon (Steve Logan), Allan Wayne Hill (Jennifer, “Nikki” Hill) and Allison Marie Graham (Steve Graham), eight great grandchildren, Alexis Leigh Hill, Samantha Perkins (Jake Perkins), Laynee Reitz (Sam Reitz). Logan Allan Hill (Lilyahna Hill), Mason James McCown, Miles Richard McCown, Ashlynn Hill, and Allaina Graham, Two great, great grandchildren by Alexis, Ryland, and Ellianna Arballo, also a sister Clara Bogle, and brother, Robert Hutchison.
Betty always had a smile and loved to tell everyone how she had a good life and “nothing to complain about.”
She was a strong, loyal woman of faith to the Lord. Betty was loved and will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10am at the Sunset Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9am until service time. Burial to follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
