Clifford W. Gibson
August 19, 1941 - January 8, 2024
Clifford W. Gibson, 82, of Des Moines, Iowa went home to Heaven on January 8, 2024, following complications from Covid. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gibson, two sons, Cliff Jr and Dan, of Ankeny, a daughter, Karen Doyle, of Badger, and Ted, of Adel, three grandsons, two granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded by Betty Gibson, wife, Jeff Gibson, grandson, Tyler Gibson, grandson, his parents and his brothers and sisters.
Clifford grew up in the S.E. bottoms. He spent his days fishing with his father and helping him farm. He worked at Seidenfeld and Son for 22 years while raising his young family. He spent the remainder of his working days as a buyer for Alter Scrap Processing. Cliff and Carolyn retired together and traveled to visit many tourist destinations across the country. He was a long-time member of Central Bible Church.

Carolyn, 83, of Des Moines Iowa Joined her previously deceased husbands Clifford, and Bradley in heaven on October 6, 2024.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Ted, Cliff Jr, Danny, daughter Karen, three grandsons, two granddaughters, and Nine Great grandchildren.
Carolyn grew up in Perry Iowa, where her family ran a farm for many years. After graduation from Perry High School, she attended AIB business school in Des Moines where she studied accounting, and business management. Carolyn worked in the hotel motel industry for most of her life. Carolyn married Brad Bathey in 1960, and had a son Ted in 1962, Brad passed away in 2003. Carolyn was lucky to find love a second time while attending Hospice grief meetings after Brad's death, which is where she met her second husband, Clifford Gibson. Carol and Cliff retired together and traveled to visit many tourist destinations across the United States. Cliff and Carol were members of Central Bible Church on Guthrie Ave in Des Moines.
