Clifford W. Gibson, 82, of Des Moines, Iowa went home to Heaven on January 8, 2024 following complications from Covid. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gibson, two sons, Cliff Jr and Dan, of Ankeny, a daughter, Karen Doyle, of Badger, and Ted, of Adel, three grandsons, two granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded by Betty Gibson, wife, Jeff Gibson, grandson, Tyler Gibson, grandson, his parents and all of his brothers and sisters.
Clifford grew up in the S.E. bottoms. He spent his days fishing with his father and helping him farm. He worked at Seidenfeld and Son for 22 years while raising his young family. He spent the remainder of his working days as a buyer for Alter Scrap Processing. Cliff and Carolyn retired together and traveled to visit many tourist destinations across the country. He was a long-time member of Central Bible Church.
A small service will be held in his honor at Central Bible Church, at 2430 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines. A date is pending, due to weather related issues.
