Danny David Sease, 82, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Visitation will be held at Indianola Heights Christian Church, 810 E. Park Ave., in Des Moines on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel & Gardens, 7601 Fleur Dr., in Des Moines, on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., with graveside services and lunch to follow.

Danny was born on April 28, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa to Dale and Marguerite Sease. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines and after graduation accepted a job as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service in Des Moines. Danny was also an accredited tax preparer for the State of Iowa for 43 years.
On March 9, 1970, Danny married Roberta “Bobbie” Parker. Danny and Bobbie resided in the same home on the southside of Des Moines for 51 years, where they raised their family.
Danny enjoyed life and enjoyed his family. He had countless friends. Everywhere Danny went he knew somebody. He enjoyed bowling and pitching horseshoes. He was a member of IHHPA (Iowa Hawkeye Horseshoe Pitchers Association) and ran the Horseshoe Pitching Tournament at the Iowa State Fair for over 45 years. He was involved in many capacities with horseshoes and bowling his entire life. When his children were young, he enjoyed attending all of their sporting events and school activities. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities. He loved taking his wife to Branson and on short trips to Kansas City. Danny and Bobbie enjoyed camping with their family and friends. He was a Deacon at Clifton Heights Presbyterian Church for many years, a member of Promise Keepers, and a bible study leader for the Mission Outreach in Des Moines. He was a true fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa Cubs and Chicago Cubs.
Danny is survived by his wife, Bobbie; his daughters, Treasa Ann Byrd, Pamela Hayes (Cory), Paula Jennex (Shaun). He is survived by his honorary son, Ray Halterman (Tamara); honorary daughter, Nancy Halterman; sisters Cheryl Sease and Karen Scott; brothers Gene Sease, Jerry Sease (Vyrlee), Don Sease (Donna), and Larry Sease, in addition to 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He has numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much as well. Danny was preceded in death by his parents Dale Sease, and Marguerite and Claude Mitchell; his sisters Delores Sease, Barbara Sease and Sally Burgduff; brother Stephen; daughters Rita Brumley and Ann Marie Sease; grandson Adam Lonneman; and great-grandson Cash Sanderson.
