Debra (Deb) Dianne Christian March 19, 1963 – August 14, 2020
Deb Christian passed away peacefully at home on August 14th, 2020 surrounded by her husband, children, and brothers after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Deb is survived by her husband – Brian; 2 children (spouses) – Abigail Gwyin (Brian) and Adam Christian (Paige); 3 grandchildren – Isabella, Colt and Tate (on the way); Mother-in-Law – Lora Christian; Father – Bud Bellis Sr.; Brothers – Bud Bellis Jr., Bryan Bellis, Brad Bellis and Bret Bellis and numerous nieces/nephews.
Preceded in death by her Mother – Joy Bellis; Father-in-law – Dewey Christian; Sister-in-Law – Michelle (Shelley) Christian; Uncles – Ray Smith (Ellen), Jack Smith (Pat), Glenn Smith, Paul Smith and Aunts - Beverly Wade (Dick), Betty Dyer (Dick).
Deb was a proud East High graduate, class of 1981. After High School, she attended Central College and Upper Iowa University where she ultimately graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Education, specializing in Special Education and Reading. She took pride in being an educator and advocating for her students. Deb was not afraid to speak her mind but was a selfless person who would put anyone before herself. Deb’s main focus in life was her family and friends. You could often find Deb at a local garage sale, farmers/flea market, playing cards or just shopping for the best deal. However, nothing took precedence over spending time with her Grandchildren, Isabella and Colt. The biggest joy in her life was having the title of Gammy.

A memorial celebration of life, with a time of sharing, will be held at a later date.
