Dennis Eugene Tighe passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at Mercy Hospital.
Born on August 27th, 1943, Dennis was one of six children to Eugene and Lois Tighe. Dennis proudly served in the US Air force and worked with the US Postal Service for many years, frequently taking his children on the route with him and creating wonderful memories. Dennis loved playing pool and having cookouts with his wife, children, and many grandchildren. He also loved spending time at Prairie Meadows Casino with friends, playing cards, taking his corvette to Porky’s Restaurant and listening to classic oldies music. Often traveling to Mexico with the family, he loved eating fried fish on the beach and having a cold cerveza.
Dennis is survived by his lovely wife; Rebeca, children; Elizabeth, Thomas, Walter, Stephanie and Paloma, grandchildren; Javier, Miguel, Arcelia, Cecilia, Natalia, Trenton, Rileigh, Carson and Isabel, 16 great-grandchildren; sisters; Connie, Deanna, and Patricia as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Terrance, sister Kathleen, son William, cousin Timothy, and first wife Theresa.
