Domenica Irene-Mary Fazio died peacefully surrounded by her family on February 28, 2021 at 31 years of age.
Domenica was born on November 1, 1989 in Des Moines, Iowa to her mother Bari Fazio and her father Ralph Fazio. She graduated from Des Moines Public Schools. Domenica grew up on the Des Moines Southside where she loved playing soccer, basketball and running track. Later on after high school she would work various jobs in the restaurant industry.
Domenica loved to be surrounded with her family and friends. She especially loved the holidays with her daughter Sophia. Domenica always had an infectious smile. She was a fierce protector of her family and friends, especially her sisters Danielle and Deanna and her daughter Sophia. She loved art and her tattoos.
Domenica is survived by her parents, Bari Fazio and Leo Muldoon of Des Moines, Iowa. Her daughter, Sophia Fazio. Her sisters Danielle Fazio (Elgin Roland) of Des Moines, Iowa and Deanna Muldoon of Des Moines, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her father Ralph Fazio.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. It will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road Des Moines, Iowa. Immediately following the visitation will be the funeral mass from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Domenica’s life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
