Edwin F. Usher, age 83, passed away on August 14, 2024, in Pleasantville, IA.
After graduating Dowling High School, he joined the Navy and later joined Sheet Metal Workers Local 45.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Cynthia Usher of West Des Moines, IA; daughter, April Woodard of Waukee, IA; his son, Jeff (April) Usher of Des Moines, IA. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Nick, Austin, Hailey, and Zach; three great-granddaughters, Mia, Mabel, and Dorothy. Preceded in death by his parents Frances Edwin and brother, Jack and Jim Usher.
Celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Burial will take place on Saturday August, 31 2024, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA 50321.
