Elizabeth Marie Hunkele, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Prairie Vista Village in Altoona. Elizabeth was born in New York, New York on December 9, 1930 to Thomas & Stella Scanlon. It was there that she met her husband, Robert, and they made New York their home until Robert’s death in 1990. In 1992 she moved to St Louis, and in the early 2000’s on the Chariton, Iowa. Her final move was in 2015 when she moved in to the Prairie Vista Village. Her final move was in 2015 when she moved into the Prairie Vista Village.
Elizabeth memory will be cherished by her sons, Robert (Amy) of Belleview, IL & Thomas (Charlotte) of Des Moines, her Grandchildren, Katelynn (Paul) Stream of Manhattan, KS, Matthew (MacKenzie) Hunkele of Waukee, Charles (Sarah) Hunkele of Chariton, Colleen Hunkele of Cedar Falls, Caroline Hunkele of Chariton, and her great grandchildren, Grayson, Paxton, Keegan & Isabella Stream, Harper & Ivy Hunkele.
