Heather Marie Elschlarger passed away in Des Moines, Iowa on September 12th, 2024, at a young 34 years old. She is our Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Niece and Friend. She is a Beautiful, Gentle soul. She loved fiercely; loved nature and animals. She was a survivor, so strong, facing adversity with the confidence of one of God's soldiers.
The grave side viewing and funeral will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial services will be followed by a Celebration of Life at Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge starting as early as 12:30 p.m.
The Celebration of Life is open to all family and friends. It is a short drive on the bypass to 2500 Grand Ave WDSM. The Nature Lodge sits on the Northwest side of the lake/park. We will gather in Heather's memory to share our experiences, enjoy nature like she did and celebrate fun times with some games. Bring the kids, there is plenty to do around the Lodge and in the park. Feel free to bring a dish, drink or dessert for the Feast or for the Family to take home.
