Jamie passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2022. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m., Saturday, May 14 at Sunset Memorial Chapel with his funeral beginning at 3 p.m.
Jamie Lynn Arndt was born February 18, 1980 in Des Moines, Iowa to Sherry Arndt and Roger Cooper. Growing up, Jamie was athletic and enjoyed participating in basketball, baseball, and football. Football was his favorite sport, and he was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Jamie liked spending time outdoors fishing. He was very empathetic and was a good listener. Jamie was a good, patient dad to his kids.
Jamie was preceded in death by his stepfather, Mike O’Neill.
Jamie will be remembered by his children, Alyssa Shannon and Jaelynn Shannon; stepchildren, Brooklyn Shannon and Briana Shannon; mother, Sherry O’Neill; father, Roger Cooper; brother, Jason Cooper; sister, Tracy Cooper; and his life partner and mother of his children, Mary Newton.
