Janis B. Daniels, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at her home. A visitation will be held in her honor on Monday, September 11th from 11 am until 1:30pm at the Sunset Memorial Chapel, 7601 Fleur Dr. Des Moines. She will be laid to rest at the Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery following the visitation. A memorial ceremony will be held in her honor at a 4:00 pm on Monday at the Grimes Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2380 SE 37th St, Grimes.
Janis is survived by her three sons: Vincent (Martha) of Atlanta, Vernon, Jr. (Jenny) of Las Vegas, Victor of Virginia, Grandchildren, Vanessa, Valerie, Keisha, Julian, Megan, V.J., Vanita, Ashley, Kristal, Josh, Lindsay & Vaughn, several great grandchildren and two brothers, Hollis Branham of Maryland and Daryl (Amelia) Branham of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon on August 14, 2021, her parents, John & DeVelma Branham, and her son Vaughn.
As a younger woman Janis greatly enjoyed photography. Also, she enjoyed Ancestry research, sewing and studying the word in her faith.
