Keith Laverne Wilson, the son of Noel Laverne and Rachel Norene (Slaymaker) Wilson, was born August 27, 1932 in Marengo, Iowa. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Keith married Bertha Lou Aldrich on July 15, 1961. They made their home in Marengo until 1995, when he retired from Amana Refrigeration and they moved to Windsor Heights.
Keith was an active member of his community, as a Mason, member of the school and library boards, and football scorekeeper. He was active in the United Methodist Church, and community theater productions. Keith was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs.
Keith passed away at home on December 3, 2020. His family will be honoring his life with a private memorial service. Memorial contributions may be given to Windsor United Methodist Church.
Keith is lovingly remembered by his wife Bertha “Bert”; son Doug (Jennifer) Wilson; daughter Diane (Mike) Sheets; and his grandchildren: Emily, Zack, and Mckenna. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Pat.
