Leland James Mapes was born September 5, 1946 in Earlham, Iowa to Leslie Wayne Mapes and Gertrude Hope Mapes. Leland passed away on April 13, 2022. Leland served in the US Army as a trombone player for the US Army Military Band.
Leland is survived by his son Jason A. Mapes of West Jordan, Utah.
Interment will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003) on Wednesday, July 20th at 2 p.m.
