Luree Ann Marturello, age 94, passed away on December 22, 2021 at UnityPoint Iowa Lutheran Hospital surrounded by her family. Visitation will begin at noon continuing until her funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Luree was born May 23, 1927, the daughter of Edward and Arlene (Landers) Rife. She grew up and attended school in Des Moines. Luree enjoyed baking, cooking, and sewing. She especially loved spending time with her family. Luree loved her indoor pets, and also feeding her many outdoor animal visitors.
Luree was preceded in death by her husband, John Marturello; father, Edward Rife; mother, Arlene Hunter; sisters, Marilyn and Bonnie; and brother Jack.
Luree is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kathy Roth (Bill); son, Doug Fisher (Verna); grandchildren: Shannon Newton (Brian), Greg Fisher (Joanne), David Fisher (Joy), Erin Berger (Gabe), and Kristin Williams (Seth); eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Schneider; as well as several nieces and nephews.
