Vanita Joy Roth, 75, passed away on September 6, 2022 at the Kavanagh House. Vanita was born on September 27, 1946 in Des Moines, IA to her parents Vaughn and Veletta Crees. She married her husband John “Jack” Roth on June 7, 1969 in Des Moines and was blessed with two children, John Jr. and Nicole.
Vanita was a special lady who cherished her time with her husband and family at home under their crimson king maple tree. She took care of their family garden, was always the first one to want to look at the pictures that were taken of her family and was intrigued by genealogy. Vanita and Jack were lucky to live so close to the balloon field and got many chances to see stunning hot air balloons take off into the air. They spent 50 years in that household as of this summer. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed by all.
Left to cherish Vanita’s memory are her husband Jack, son John Roth Jr. (Christine), daughter Nicole Warner (Chris) and their children Sean (Susana) and Nicholas, brother Carl Crees (Judy), brother Gary Crees (Connie), sister Valerie Touzani (Sam) and her sister-in-law Sharon Crees. She is preceded in death by her parents, eldest sister Carolyn Scott and second oldest brother Forrest.
On Wednesday, September 14, 2022 there will be a visitation held from 5:00-7:00pm at Sunset Memorial Chapel (7601 Fleur Dr.) to honor Vanita Joy Roth.
